Air-Entrainment
The use of an air-entrained agent as an admixture to a Portland concrete
mixture. Air-entrainment will increase frost
resistance.
An air-entrained agent will cause small bubbles to be formed
in the concrete during mixing. This allows the process of
climatic freezing and thawing to occur without damaging the
hardened concrete.
The air content of a concrete mixture can be easily
determined by using an air meter.
